Three Ways to Make Your Pitch Stand Out from the Crowd

Include a stellar subject line
A good hook is essential. Instead of a bland “Cool Umbrella” title, give it a more active intro , like “Cool New Wet Weather gear...under $50!” You never know, your idea may just inspire a product roundup.
Know when to send
Time your pitch between 10:30 a.m. and noon and early in the week when possible. It's easy for a pitch to get buried if sent over the weekend, in the late afternoon or at night.
Make it “new”
Whether it is a new color, a new online store or even a new member of the team, your pitch should state what makes it "news" now.
