Pitching Products: the fast lane to finding your way on the page

What are editors looking for when producing a product-driven page? Here's what you should know.
1) COLOR is king (You'll have a much easier time breaking into these pages when your label or product is bold and colorful. They simply pop off the page!)
2) Every editor loves a LIST ($25 and under stories are popular across the board, no. So if your product is under $25, say so in the subject of your pitch)
3) You must make your product RELATE. (This is a page from the September issue of Cooking Light magazine, hence all of the products fit into the food and entertaining theme.)
