It started with Sassy magazine.

I landed an internship with Sassy magazine after I approached editor in chief Jane Pratt on the dance floor at the old 40 Watt club in Athens, Georgia. She was in town to see a friend and I was tipped off that she would be at disco that night . I desperately wanted to be a part of her magazine and that led to desperate measures. Amazingly, she said "yes."
I recently ran across this issue of Sassy, one that held my first ever mention on a national magazine masthead. Fun fact: Chloe Sevigny took my spot as intern after I went back to school!
